Hello!

We are Alexis and Merly, a French-German couple in our 30s who will be arriving in Australia in September 2026 after an amazing year exploring New Zealand. We are curious, enthusiastic, and passionate about travelling, discovering new cultures, and meeting people from all walks of life.

My partner is passionate about fishing, and I have been horse riding since I was five years old. We both also love diving and snorkelling! We enjoy being surrounded by water, nature, and animals.

I speak German, French, and English fluently, as well as some basic Spanish. My partner has a basic level of English and is using this opportunity to further improve his language skills.

We are highly motivated to discover new environments, learn new skills, meet people from different backgrounds, and contribute wherever we can. We look forward to sharing meaningful experiences with our future hosts and creating wonderful memories together!

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

We both have professional backgrounds in the tourism and hospitality industries. Alexis has over 15 years of experience working in professional kitchens, and I have more than five years of experience in event management within the hospitality and agencies.

We have been travelling around New Zeeland for one year in 2025 and had the opportunity to work for 5 months for a rafting and kayaking camping. While I was in charge of making coffees, cocktails, taking reservations and checking-in guests, Alexis was in charge of the kitchen.
We also had the chance to harvest sweet potatoes for 7 weeks.

We had 3 amazing WWOOFing experiences while travelling around New Zealand for a year, and we are now looking forward to helping out, meeting locals, and discovering Australian culture. Our tasks were diverse and included mainly gardenig, cutting wood, painting and some building

We are open-minded, adaptable, motivated, and hardworking people who enjoy stepping outside our comfort zones.
