Steph & Emily – Enthusiastic, Nature-Loving Couple Exploring South America 🌿

Hi! We’re Steph (31) and Emily (29) – a fun-loving, respectful couple from the UK with a shared passion for people, nature, animals, and learning through meaningful travel.

We’re both ex-teachers who’ve left the classroom to let the world become our teacher. From December 2025, we’ll be travelling across South America for around 6 months, and we’re so excited to get involved with local communities, projects, and ways of life.

Emily is super crafty and hands-on – she loves DIY, upcycling, and creative problem-solving.
Steph thrives outdoors – she's recently been working as a gardener and loves practical, physical work in nature.

We’re both enthusiastic, adaptable, and reliable. Whether it’s building, painting, gardening, animal care, or general help around a home or farm – we love getting stuck in and learning by doing.

We’re also massive foodies! We both love to cook and share meals – food is truly our love language. We’d be thrilled to learn local recipes and traditions, and we’re always happy to cook something up for others, too.

We’re keen to learn Spanish and Portuguese, and we’d be so grateful for any help or practice! We’re also really interested in hearing local recommendations – hidden gems, cultural tips, or favourite places to eat, explore, and connect.

In our spare time, we love board games, hiking, and spending time near water – we’re hoping to improve our (questionable) surfing skills while we’re in South America, too!

We’re respectful guests, fast learners, and truly excited to contribute with open minds and open hearts.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

Animal Care – We're both very fond of animals and happy to help with feeding, cleaning, walking, or simply giving them a bit of love and attention.

DIY & Upcycling – Emily has a real knack for building and fixing things. She enjoys taking things apart and putting them back together, and is especially good at furniture building and creative upcycling projects.

Gardening – We both enjoy spending time outdoors. Steph has some hands-on experience working for a gardening company and is confident with weeding, planting, pruning, and general garden maintenance.

Cooking & Baking – We absolutely love cooking and sharing food with others. We're always keen to learn local recipes and also enjoy baking – there's usually something tasty coming out of the oven!

Teaching & Tutoring – As former teachers, we're great with children and clear communicators. We're happy to help with tutoring, especially in English, or to support any learning activities.

Tech-Savvy – We're comfortable using computers and social media, and can lend a hand with general tech tasks, online content, or admin bits if needed.

Arts & Crafts – We enjoy running creative sessions, including arts, crafts, and games – especially with young people or in a group setting.

Outdoor Living – Steph is a qualified ski instructor, and we’re both experienced campers who are more than happy to help with setting up tents, outdoor cooking, or general camp life.

Physically Active – We're fit and healthy, love being outside, and are always keen for a hike or any practical, physical work.
