Hey! I’m really interested in working at a ranch for the summer. I’m an 18-year-old student in veterinary school in Ireland, and I have a deep passion for animals and horsemanship that I’ve cultivated over the years. I’ve spent the last three years teaching horseback riding lessons, where I’ve had the privilege of working with a diverse range of students, including special needs kids. This experience has not only enhanced my teaching skills but has also taught me the importance of patience, empathy, and tailored approaches to each individual’s needs.

In addition to teaching, I have significant experience in training horses, focusing on both groundwork and riding techniques to ensure they are well-prepared for various disciplines. My hands-on work in equine veterinary facilities has allowed me to assist with health checks, treatments, and general care, giving me a solid foundation in equine health and management. I have developed a keen understanding of horse behavior and care, which I believe is essential for any ranch/animal environment.

I see this opportunity as a chance to further apply my skills and knowledge while gaining invaluable practical experience. I’m eager to contribute to daily operations, assist with horse care, and learn from your team’s expertise. I’m truly excited about the possibility of immersing myself in the ranch environment and being part of a community that shares my passion for animals!

I have a strong background in volunteering, which has greatly shaped my work ethic and dedication. Over the years, I’ve volunteered at various animal shelters and equine rescue organizations, where I’ve gained hands-on experience in animal care and rehabilitation. This work has not only reinforced my love for animals but also taught me the importance of compassion and responsibility.

My volunteering experiences required me to be a hard worker, often taking on physically demanding tasks, such as feeding, grooming, and exercising the animals. I’ve learned to manage my time effectively and prioritize tasks to ensure that all the animals receive the care they need. This commitment to hard work has also translated into my academic pursuits, where I strive to excel in my studies and contribute positively to my community.

Through my volunteer work, I’ve developed strong teamwork and communication skills, collaborating with other volunteers and staff to achieve common goals. I believe that these experiences have prepared me well for a role at a ranch, where dedication and a strong work ethic are essential for success.

In addition to my passion for animals and my hard work in volunteering, I also have a variety of hobbies that keep me engaged and balanced. I love playing card games, which not only provide a fun way to spend time with friends but also challenge my strategic thinking. Being outdoors is another one of my favorite pastimes; I enjoy going on slow nature hikes where I can appreciate the beauty of nature and unwind.

Board games are another great interest of mine, as they allow for social interaction and creativity. I find that engaging in social events and activities is important for building connections and enjoying life outside of my studies. These hobbies complement my dedication to animal care and my academic pursuits, providing a well-rounded approach to my interests and lifestyle.
