Hi, I’m Sofia, born and raised in Germany with a strong passion for nature, animals, and connecting with people. I completed my apprenticeship as a landscape gardener and later specialized in tree care, working as a professional tree climber and running my own small business in this field. I also gained experience in carpentry and love practical, hands-on work.

I grew up with a gardening background thanks to my family, which gave me a lot of knowledge about plants and outdoor projects. I’m very comfortable working with animals – I’ve had a dog myself and enjoy taking care of pets and farm animals.

In addition to my practical skills, I’m also very active in sports. I work in a fitness studio, hold a personal trainer certificate, and enjoy an active lifestyle. I’m creative, communicative, and love meeting new people and learning new skills along the way.

For me, Workaway is an amazing opportunity to share my skills, discover new ways of living, and contribute positively wherever I go.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

I trained as a landscape gardener and have been self-employed in the field of tree care for over a year, working as a tree climber and arborist. Alongside this, I also work as a personal trainer and athletic coach in a fitness studio, which keeps me active and motivated.

In the past, I’ve gained valuable experience in hospitality, working as a barista and waitress, which taught me communication skills, teamwork, and flexibility. I also had a dog by my side for 13 years, so I’m very comfortable working with and caring for animals.

I enjoy practical, hands-on work – whether it’s gardening, carpentry, creative projects, or general help around the house or outdoors. I would describe myself as open, communicative, and always eager to learn. I like to say I can do a little bit of everything and I’m always motivated to try new things.

I love being on the move – walking, hiking, cycling, motorbiking, or driving, as long as I can explore. I also enjoy running and spending time at the gym – movement in any form makes me happy.

I’m also very interested in photography and love taking pictures myself. I enjoy all kinds of manual work, whether it’s building cabins, houses, terraces, stables, or fences.

Creative work is another passion of mine – in the past I made a lot of jewelry and even created handmade dog leashes.
