Hi! I’m Sofia, a recent graduate with a degree in Biology & Environmental Science. I joined Workaway because I love traveling, meeting new people, immersing myself in different cultures, and learning from locals. I want to make the most of my 20s exploring the world, gaining new skills, and collecting unforgettable experiences!

I’ve volunteered in five different places across Canada and Thailand, so I’m no stranger to the volunteering experience. I’m adventurous, energetic, open minded, and always in a good mood! I love trying new things, and since I know a bit of scuba diving 🤿, I always try to go on a dive whenever I’m near the ocean.

One of my biggest motivations for volunteering is personal growth. I have so many paths open to me, and I’m still figuring out what’s next. I believe that stepping outside my comfort zone, helping communities, supporting eco-projects, and protecting wildlife will help me find my direction.

I’ve always loved traveling with my mom, but now I’m embracing solo travel to challenge myself and prove that I can handle anything that comes my way. I know this journey will push me to grow, and I couldn’t be more excited for it! 🎊
