Hello/Bonjour ! We are Simon from France and Bridget from New Zealand. We are currently spending some time travelling around Europe, experiencing new cultures and making memories. We are excited to join Workaway to expand our horizons and connect with like minded people along the way. We hope to immerse ourselves in unfamiliar and exciting experiences and to learn new skills. We’re happiest when we can travel, move, and share good moments. We love discovering new places, meeting people, and enjoying life outdoors — whether it’s cycling, swimming, skiing or any kind of adventure. We’re also real food lovers, always curious to taste and cook good things together.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

Bridget:
I am a trained barista and waitress, and have worked in cafes and restaurants for 3+ years.

I have worked in a bike shop in New Zealand for 3 years selling road and mountain bikes, and helping with basic workshop tasks.

I have a bachelors degree in Building Science and have recently worked as a sustainability consultant in building engineering for 2.5 years

At the end of 2025 I spent time working at a ‘Santa Clause Village’ in Lapland , welcoming guests and taking them on outdoor adventures.

Simon:
I have recently completed an Engineering degree where I developed many transferable skills, including problem-solving, organisation, and having a practical mindset.

Gardening & farming – two months of experience as a vegetable grower (WWOOFing in Ireland), comfortable with outdoor manual work.

Swimming & lifeguarding – four years as a swimming pool lifeguard, good knowledge of water safety and teamwork.

Handy and adaptable – I enjoy learning new skills, fixing things, and helping wherever needed.

Team spirit – used to working with others, reliable and positive attitude.
