Description
Hi! I'm Shosuke, a 22-year-old traveler from Japan, taking a year out from the University of Tokyo to travel the world, meet people, and be part of their daily life wherever I go.
I love joining a family or a team and helping however I can — in the kitchen, around the house, with guests, or with any project you've got going. I'm hardworking, easy-going, curious, and good with my hands.
Where I can really help is anything creative or digital:
Video & photo — I'm a YouTuber, so with your permission I can film and edit lovely videos of your place or project for you to keep and share.
Websites & apps — I build websites and small tools, so I can create or improve your site, a booking page, or something to make your work easier.
AI & tech — I use the latest AI tools to solve everyday problems fast and sort out anything digital.
I also write for a Japanese blog with a large audience, so I'm glad to share your project with readers back home.
In my free time I do a few hours of work on my laptop, so a bit of wifi is a big plus. But above all, I'm here for the people — to share stories, cook together, and learn from each other. Hope to hear from you! -

I'm a native Japanese speaker and happy to teach Japanese to anyone interested — from basic greetings to daily conversation. I also enjoy sharing about Japanese culture, food, and lifestyle.I'd love to improve my English through daily conversation with hosts and other travelers. I'm conversational but want to become more fluent and natural. I'm also open to picking up basic phrases in any local language — I believe learning even a few words shows respect and helps build real connections. -

Quelles sont vos compétences ?
Content Creation & Media
I shoot and edit YouTube videos (planning, filming, editing, thumbnail design). I'm also experienced with mobile photography and color grading on iPhone. I can help create social media content for Instagram, Facebook, X (Twitter), or TikTok — including writing captions, planning posts, and growing your audience.
Technology & Digital
I'm comfortable with web development, building simple websites, and automating tasks using tools like Google Apps Script and AI (including Claude Code). I can help with setting up or improving your online presence — updating your website, creating booking systems, organizing digital files, or anything tech-related. I also have experience with data analysis and presentation design.
Physical & Outdoor Work
I have experience working as event staff at concerts and live events in Japan — including heavy equipment loading/unloading, crowd management at front rows, and various operational tasks. I'm used to long hours of physical work in fast-paced environments. I'm happy to help with farming, gardening, harvesting, building, cleaning, carrying, painting — whatever needs to be done. I enjoy getting my hands dirty.
Languages
Japanese: Native / English: Conversational (comfortable communicating daily, though not perfectly fluent)
Other
I'm a fast learner who enjoys picking up new skills on the spot. I've helped with business development and client communication in professional settings, so I'm comfortable talking to people, organizing tasks, and taking initiative without needing constant direction. -

Autres infos...
When I'm not working, you'll probably find me with my iPhone filming everything — I'm really into mobile photography and experimenting with color grading. I love capturing everyday moments and turning them into something cinematic.
I'm a big reader, especially philosophy. One of my favorite books is "Ethics of Boredom and Idleness" (暇と退屈の倫理学) by Japanese philosopher Koichiro Kokubun — it's about how humans can find meaning beyond productivity, which is basically why I'm doing this trip.
I'm also into stargazing, hiking, and just sitting outside doing nothing. Some of my happiest moments are the quiet ones.
Fun fact: I'm taking a gap year before graduate school specifically to figure out how to live a life that doesn't revolve around a 9-to-5 job. If you're someone who's already doing that, I'd love to hear your story. -
