Hello.
At the moment I am at home in Ireland, dog sitting for friends and putting gardens to bed before the Winter.
I studied Sculpture as a mature student in my early 30's, before having my 2 sons and renovating 2 old houses. I am active and creative; designing and building gardens, growing plants, restoration and renovation, cooking. Permaculture and closed loop cycles inspire me, as does alternative architecture and contemporary painting.
I would describe myself as an introvert; I love animals and music; I can ride a horse and a motorbike and drive a car. i enjoy Indie films, good TV and reading; at the moment "Eat like a Fish" about seafood farming, interspersed with Nick Cave's "Faith, Hope and Carnage"
Divorce taught me humility, empathy and the ability to let go; I am a good listener. I cared for my Mum , who had Dementia, during lockdown and lost her, aged 90, in January of this year . I don't own a dog for the first time in my life and my sons moved out a few years ago and are happy, so now seems like a good time to have an adventure! I enjoy travelling on my own, but would love to work and learn with like-minded people and accomplish something worthwhile.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

I have just finished the design and planting of a naturalistic walled garden in Southern Ireland. The next project is to order and plant a large area of existing woodland with smaller bare rooted native species. I love creating beautiful outdoor spaces; building stone walls and paths etc.
I owned a shop for 12 years where I renovated, painted and restored old furniture bought in local auctions, and sold them alongside interesting objects, lighting and ceramics picked up at local markets. (eclectic.interiors.kilkenny on Instagram)
I've had experience cooking in cafes and restaurants and for private clients; I love growing and cooking and would love to learn more about Permaculture and foraging. I have experience with dogs, goats and horses. I can drive.
