Quelles sont vos compétences ?
Love animals, plants and gardening. Therefore would like to learn more about animal care in general as well as learning more about plants, growing vegetables and permaculture.

Being Swiss I am very clean and good with organizational tasks, as well as general housework. Did also some house-sitting voluntaries and loved taking care about the animals, plants and apartment/house.

In general I am a good allrounder cause I am interested and willing to learn and try new things.

Gracias Valentina para todo... I lived for almost 6 weeks with Valentina and her two sons and did love it.
In the early morning we did practice Kundalini Yoga together which was absolutely fabulous.
My working tasks included cleaning, vacuuming, tidying up, doing laundry, watering the plants (indoors and outdoors).

Thank you Miriam... for the great communication, trust and giving me the opportunity to work & stay with the horses even though I had no prior experience with horses.

This was my first experience with horses and I did love it! All the 6 horses at the stable are adoring, have totally different characters and this gave me the possibility to learn… read more a lot about this sensitive and powerful animals. Feeding & mucking out the stable was easy to learn. Moreover if an interested and responsible Workawayer would like to do/learn more you have plenty of possibilities training or riding depending on your abilities.

The stable area is big and I was living there on my own... only 6 horses, a cat and me. I did love this independence and closeness to the animals. Moreover it is a very nice area and close to "wilderness" but at the same time only 12 minutes walking distance to the closest bus station. Bus system on La Palma is great, from Monday to Friday every 30 minutes you have a bus to either Santa Cruz (capital city) or Los LLanos. At the weekends there are hourly connections. Really easy to explore the whole island by public transport.

La Palma is perfekt for hiking cause there are hiking trails all over the Island. Lots of ocean, beaches, cliffs and marvelous views... and at night the sky and stars are just amazing. There is a lot to explore and the Palmeros are very warmly. I met a lot of really nice people even though at the beginning I was a little disappointed cause there are so many Germans living on La Palma, most of the time I was speaking Germen and I could not practice and learn as much Spanish as I wanted to. Then I started to take Salsa lessons and going out dancing was my chance to meet more locals and speak more Spanish.

I am traveling / doing Workaway since 1 year now, have seen different countries, hosts and working places... and this was my favorite workplace! So thank you Miriam for all the good things you did for me. I will always remember you, the horses and Maunzi (cat) lots of love.

Für alle Deutsch sprechenden Workawayer: Falls jemand bedenkend hat aufgrund von mangelnden Spanischkenntnissen... kann euch beruhigen... 6 der 7 Personen die regelmässig im Stall sind (Pferdebesitzer/Helfer) sprechen perfekt Deutsch. Am Anfang habe ich ca. 90% der Zeit (Stall und Freizeit) nur Deutsch gesprochen. Die Einheimischen freuen sich wenn man Spanisch kann und sind auch sehr hilfsbereit wenn man nur Deutsch oder Englisch spricht. Also traut euch.

Thank you Agi and Guido. I stayed with them for nearly 3 weeks and enjoyed the finca with lots of wildlife, beautiful trees and lots of animals (sloths, monkeys, birds, horses, chickens, and many more). I do love their two dogs, Simba & Lana :-)

"Finca " really is a little paradise with lots of plants: herbs, fruits, veggies, trees... There are also many different kinds of birds such as toucans, about 25 different sorts of frogs, iguanas, sloths and much more.
