Hello, my name is Sandra. I am Latvian in my 60s , living in Riga, Latvia.
I am a professional seamstress, I graduated Dressmaking school in 1980 as a tailor -specialist in men's clothing , but over time, working individually with my clients, my main focus was custom clothing for ladies.
I LOVE sewing!!!
My sewing experience started at an early age. I loved making dresses for my dolls.
After graduating Dressmaking school, I have worked in Men's tailor shop and the Fashion house in Riga. For some period of time I worked with costumes in National Opera theater in Riga and also on shows at a Musical Theater.
While traveling, I learned to make horse blankets in Sweden, helped at yacht sail repair shop in the marina in Mexico, learned to sew chair covers and curtains in England, created draped ceiling for the meeting room in Mexico...etc and I like to make soft toys. :)

If you are having some UFOs in your craft room..... I am talking about Un-Finished Objects that are waiting for a chance to be finished, I can help you revive your excitement for the sewing project you started, but for some reasons it got stuck and is still waiting for your attention!

P.S. The feedback on my Workaway profile mentions my husband Todd.
We traveled together for years and worked on many projects together.
Now Todd has returned to the United States and stopped participating in Workaway program.
I - Sandra- am continuing my adventures with WorkAway and looking for interesting projects in Europe. :))
This winter I am traveling around Spain and I will be happy to join you !

If you have any kind of sewing project on mind, I can help:
*️️sewing cushions, curtains , pillows, chair covers, alterations etc.
*️️ teach sewing to children and adults
*️️ create teddy bears and ragdolls or repair soft toys for a child
*️️ repurposing and upcycling clothing
I love creative DIY crafting projects- simple jewelery, furniture restoration etc. I am always happy to learn new craft techniques
