Hi, my name is Sam, and I am from Bakersfield, CA. I just graduated from Gannon University and I am looking for an adventure in Australia over the summer! I have never worked on a farm, however I learn fast and I love anything and everything outdoors. Plus I love getting my hands dirty and thought that a workaway would be the perfect opportunity to do both. My peers and friends would describe me as someone who is very positive, outgoing, and hardworking. I am looking for an experience that allows me to be immersed in the Australian culture and meet as many people as possible.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

I am currently about to graduate from college with a health science degree and a double minor in nutrition and phycology. A lot of my experience stems from my knowledge with nutrition, specifically creating food that not only fuels you but is delicious! My "specialty" is whole food based desserts that you wouldn't even know was nutrient dense and would love to exchange recipes!
For the past few summers I have also been a camp counselor at a surf beach camp in Malibu, CA. I have a lot of experience with kids and creating activities and games for them on the fly.
On my own I love to hike, camp, and travel. Most of the trips I find myself in include days without showering and sleeping in the middle of a random forest. So, I am used to uncomfortable and adventurous situations and I have learned to adapt to my surroundings very easily.
I grew up helping my family build up our home as well. From painting, building fences and shed foundations, taking down walls, and so much more. I am fairly familiar with working tools and I have a basic idea as to what renovations entail.
