Description
Hello!
I'm a woman in my late 20s who never quite got around to travelling around the world earlier in the decade, but as I'm going to begin studying later in the year, I want to take the opportunity to do so now!
I've always had a curious eye for adventure, new places and new experiences. I'm an avid writer, and feel that some time exploring the world is only going to bring me more motivation to write and create. I like to create in many different ways including cooking and art, and spend my spare time often reading or weight training.
I have many indoor plants but would love to further my knowledge on garden and agriculture. As I live in a big city in Australia, I often don't get the chance to connect with nature, which is something I feel I'm missing out on. This comes hand in hand with disconnecting a bit from the busy city life and slowing down to really take things in. I love animals, having two cats of my own (that I'll sorely miss!) and I refrain from eating most meat (aside from seafood on occasion).
For most of my adult life I've worked as a waitress in fine bars and restaurants, and as such have a deep appreciation for good food and good wine. I currently work at a restaurant with its own farm, that operates on biodynamic farming practices, which is very cool to be a part of!
I'm planning to leave for my travels mid February, and return to Australia in July. This is a fairly open ended window, with flexible travel dates. Ultimately, I would like to work around the schedules given to me by lovely hosts. I plan to start in SEA, and make my way through Jordan, over to Europe, and then to finish in Mexico. I have a European passport, so if you're a European host, know I won't have any issues with my visa. A large reason for choosing the destinations I have is my love for architecture, ancient buildings, and history. I would love to hear any stories you may have, as learning is my priority here. My goal for this journey is to learn things about the world, and hopefully gain some new perspectives about it (and myself), through the lives and stories of others. I hope I sound like the right candidate for you, as I believe I have much to bring to the table (:
Just a note: I only have one photo of myself, as I refrain from taking photos often!! I spend a lot of my life in the moment, which as much as I love, comes with the drawbacks of not having any good photos to put up. Maybe it's time I take some more!Centres d’intérêt

Would love to learn Spanish. I began attempting to learn it a couple of years ago as I would be staying in Spain for the month, and while I picked up some basics, I wasn't able to find people to speak it with. My English is excellent, and I would be able to comfortably teach it.Compétences et connaissances que j'aimerais partager ou apprendre

Quelles sont vos compétences ?
I have a few skills I believe would be helpful to hosts!
- Having worked in hospitality for many years, my customer service skills are superb. I can see many hostel listings here, and believe it would be a great fit for me. I'm used to working long hours on my feet, speaking to all sorts of different people and making them feel welcome and comfortable.
- I did say I look after my indoor plants. It's a developing skill, but I'm learning to propagate, and have a keen eye for how to keep them alive and healthy. I'm beginning to work on a herb garden, and put a lot of time and attention into my plants.
- I weight train and keep my body fairly strong, and also practice yoga most nights. I don't mind doing household labour at all, and am working on getting my body used to very heavy lifting.
- I cook a lot at home, and it's one of my favourite things to do. I have a keen appreciation for food, and would love to experiment with local ingredients and cuisines wherever I may be.
- My English, while the only language I am fluent is, is excellent. I read and write often, and would have no issues teaching English to children.
- I'm very good with technology and computers, and, if you are older and perhaps need some assistance with it, I'd be more than happy to help out. More so software, but I have a basic understanding of hardware too.Âge

Autres infos...
I'm very competitive at scrabble. I've been told I'm quite funny, and easy to get along with. I have a very avid interest in film, and would love to discover new recommendations from your country.
I've spent much of my life afraid to take a plunge, a risk and to live to my fullest. This is the chance I'm taking now, as if I don't, I think I could regret it. If you'd like to help me, and show me how to live, I'll be forever grateful, and give you all the kindness I can (:Informations complémentaires

Tucked in a town just outside of Dubrovnik, the location is optimal to explore neighbouring towns and is a nice easy walk to the beach. The work (usually morning to midday) was easy enough,… read more
