Hi! I'm Rosie, a 29yr old female looking to do some workaways in Canada with my IEC work permit. I live in Kent in the UK and work in the TV industry, making documentaries. It's a very demanding and intense industry so I love taking a month or so out every year to travel, connect with nature, and explore different cultures. I visited North West Territories in Canada for a TV production I did back in 2022, and always wanted to come back, this time to explore BC and Alberta! I am looking to join work aways with kind, open hearted people like myself in the hopes I can help out, learn from you and your way of living, and also explore British Colombia. I think living and working in a different place really embeds you in the lifestyle and I am taking a few months out of my normal life to do so.

I am hard working and will get stuck in with whatever you need. I am very family orientated and often take care of my young and elderly relatives. I am chatty, I love reading, learning, exploring nature and feel like I can get along with anybody.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

- Project management: As Head Runner at a TV company I have experience of managing people and their schedules to ensure the best customer service.

-Communication skills: I volunteered abroad in Sri Lanka to teach English and had to communicate across a language barrier.

-Teamwork skills: I was an actor in the National Youth Theatre ensemble, where our training centered around working and breathing in unison.

- Yoga & meditation: I have been practising yoga since I was 16 and discovered mindfulness and meditation at 19. I have undertaken a Monash university short course in mindfulness and regularly attend yoga and breathing workshops. I practice yoga everyday.

- Social media skills: As a Social Media Manager for a body painting festival, I had to capture the essence of the business through visual mediums. I created an online social presence that allowed the business to expand and grow.

-Administrative skills: I have reception experience, answering and transferring calls, Microsoft packages and general admin duties.
