Description
We are a bicultural couple and found our mutual culture in New Zealand 16 years ago. We have two grownup children both living overseas. We are passionate dog people , sadly just recently farewelled our old buddy. We both have worked through the past (over 30 ) years and now we feel it is our time to take a break and explore the World .
We work well together and are great travel companions. Love experiencing cultures through food music and meeting people. Rob is a chef with passion for food and the idea of"Farm to Table". Zsofia is a Neuro-developmental therapist and Speech -language therapist, having worked with children with a wide range of disabilities and learning challenges over the years. We are both great communicators, young in our souls with the wisdom of the fifties and open for learning ,gathering experiences out of our comfort zone. -

We can both teach English. Rob is a native speaker, and has experience teaching adults english and culinary knowledge. Zsofia has a degree in teaching English and experience with working with children . We both speak some Spanish and would be happy to practice more. Learning Italian has been on the list for a long time. -

Quelles sont vos compétences ?
Rob: I am a full time chef and I love it. I am a part time personal trainer and I love connecting my food knowledge with this area to help people. In the kitchen I have worked on food trucks in the U.S.A. and also worked for an Italian Michelin star chef in Tuscany. I have extensive knowledge in American (b.b.q./cajun), Mexican and Italian cuisine and good knowledge in Chinese, Japanese, Thai, Indian, French an eastern European cuisines. I currently own an Asian fusion restaurant in Auckland New Zealand (May 2025) which I will sell later this year to start my world travels.
I lived in Budapest, Hungary for 4 years, for 2 of those years I taught culinary arts and English in a school for troubled teenagers. I have lived in Auckland for 16 years and regularly volunteer to teach neurodiverse children and young adults kitchen skills for daily life. -
