Hey there! Thank you for clicking on my page!
My name is Rich, I come from the UK/Denmark, I have lived in six different countries (Denmark, UK, Czechia, Germany, Austria, Taiwan) and am looking for an exciting workaway project I can join this summer!
A few quick points about me: I have been an architect for many years, mostly working with natural materials like clay and bamboo, and so I love design, sustainable living projects, graphic design and making things with my hands. I also love learning new languages. A few years ago, I switched from architecture to teaching English and German, and it has been a career move which I have entirely loved, and haven't regretted for a moment!
In my spare time, I also love making documentary films, having made films for an orphanage in Thailand, a buddhist learning centre in Taiwan and a Taiwanese aboriginal music group in the last few years since starting.
Overall, I think my friends would describe me as a very social, curious, easy-going, empathetic and positive person.

I am a TEFL/TESOL Certified English teacher and have amassed over 1,000 hours of classroom teaching hours, teaching English to kids aged six to sixteen in Taiwan. I have also spent over 900 hours teaching English and German to students of all ages online, and I am currently working at a Pedagogical University College in Vienna, where I teach Bachelor and Master students of Education. I am a native English speaker, speak fluent German (C1), intermediate Danish (B1) and basic Mandarin. -

I spent 2 months this summer, and it was incredible! Such a beautiful camp site, such beautiful people, and with the camp being surrounded by forests and fjords, there was so many opportunities to explore the natural beauty of Norway - without spending a penny!
