Hey there! Thank you for clicking on my page!
My name is Rich, I come from the UK/Denmark, I have lived in six different countries (Denmark, UK, Czechia, Germany, Taiwan, Austria) and am looking for an exciting workaway project I can join this summer!
A few quick points about me: I studied and worked in architecture during my 20s, taking interest in natural materials like clay and bamboo. I also love learning new languages and can speak English, German, Danish and some Chinese. A few years ago, I switched from architecture to teaching English and German, and it has been a career move which I have entirely loved, and haven't regretted for a moment!
In my spare time, I also love making documentary films, having so far made videos for an orphanage in Thailand, an Austrian sustainable construction NGO, a buddhist learning centre in Taipei and a Taiwanese aboriginal music group. I have also run filmmaking and drone flying workshops for kids in the last few years since starting.
Overall, I think my friends would describe me as a very social, curious, easy-going, empathetic and positive person who's always up for getting involved in a new experience and meeting all types of different people :)

I am a TEFL/TESOL Certified English teacher and have been teaching kids and adults in person (Vietnam, Taiwan, Austria) since 2024, and online since 2020. I am currently working at a Pedagogical University College in Vienna, where I teach Bachelor and Master students of Education. -

I spent 2 months this summer, and it was incredible! Such a beautiful camp site, such beautiful people, and with the camp being surrounded by forests and fjords, there was so many opportunities to explore the natural beauty of Norway - without spending a penny!
