Hello! My name is Reon, and I am from Japan.

I am an open-minded, friendly, and motivated person who loves cultural exchange and helping others. I joined Workaway because I want to experience real local life, improve my English, and be useful to the people I stay with — not just look for free accommodation.

About me

I enjoy a simple and healthy lifestyle and love being close to nature, especially the ocean. I like swimming, walking, outdoor activities, music, and spending time with people through daily life, conversations, and shared meals. I am respectful, proactive, and try to help without being asked.

I also play the guitar, and I enjoy sharing music as a way to connect with people. If you like music, I’d be happy to play together or share what I know.

I have experience doing children’s volunteer work in Malaysia, where I helped support and spend time with local children. This experience taught me patience, responsibility, and how important kindness and communication are, even when language is limited.

With children & families

I genuinely enjoy being around children — playing, helping with daily routines, and supporting busy family life. I understand how important trust and responsibility are when helping families, and I always try to be calm, caring, and reliable.

Language

My English is not perfect yet, but I can communicate in simple English and I am not afraid to speak, listen, and learn. I improve best through daily conversation and living together. I am patient with myself and always trying to grow.

I am looking for a meaningful cultural exchange, where we respect each other, share daily life, and learn from one another. I am flexible, adaptable, and happy to help wherever I am needed.
