Hello hello! We are Erik and Rachele from Italy, we are a young, happy couple with a lot of desire of learning and challenge ourselves.
We are traveling together since 2023, where Latin America we have got different volunteer experiences in different fields and areas such as DIY, Eco-projects, teaching to kids English and tourism and more.
We traveled from Mexico to Ecuador by land with an exemption in Panama, we took a flight to Columbia because that path is not recommended.
We traveled most of our journey on the road in the back of some pick-up track, by hitch-hiking, we spent nights in houses of people by using Couch-surfing and Volunteer in many places with Workaway. Thanks to this experience, we have learned many things: for example the world is a gorgeous place with many many amazing people, respect is something you give and you get back and that everything, also a bad experiences, could be a chance to learn something new, to always be "empty cups" ready to be filled.
From December 2023 we moved to Rovaniemi, in Finland, to work as Adventure tour guide (Erik) and booking assistant manager (Rachele) for 6 months, during the winter season. Since we loved the Scandinavian countries, we got the opportunity to spend the summer season in Stryn, in Norway working as bus tour leaders for others 5 months.
Currently, we left home on the 3th of December with a one way flight to Bangkok in Thailand and after 2 months of traveling around South East Asia, we will take our last flight to Perth to begin our adventure for at least an year to the other side of the planet.

About Rachele, I learned languages for 5 years during high school, in particular English, French and German and also practice them during my experiences abroad. Languages have always been one of my interests. My next step has been to learn Spanish, which I could stay to be currently fluent in. With Erik, I got the opportunity to teach English and Tourism during a voluunteer experience in Columbia in a primary, secondary and high school. About Erik, thanks to my big passion in writing songs and poems I developed such an high knowledge about my mother tongue (Italian) to be able to teach to foreigners. With the experiences that I had abroad I became fluent in English, Spanish and I can speak a little bit of French as well.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

About Rachele, I have different experiences in various fields: guiding, cashier in supermarket, hospitality like bar and restaurants, but also in entertaining kids in summer camps. I have always helped my dad in keeping clean our garden and our home. I love cooking, including vegeterian and vegan meals, as I try to be. I have experience as baby-sitting and to teach children subjects, such as languages, which are my field, like English, Italian, French, Spanish and German.
I quickly adapt to different situations and learn fast, for example I have lived in Lapland, for 6 months during winter in cold temperatures (like -20/30 degrees), I have lived for 6 months around Latino America, sleeping in our tent around and finding alternative ways to travel and be more in contact with locals.

About Erik, I studied since the high school Tourism plus a Master in Tourism and Management of sustainable resources.
I am a professional Bar Tender and waiter but I had always worked in multiple fields around Europe such as construction, woofing, permaculture, DIY projects gardening and more, I'm good in moving my hands in a little bit of everything let's say! My hobby are photography, sports like football (but I'm not in to watching I prefer play it) hiking mountains, joking, camping in to the wild I love the sky with no light pollution and be outdoor for most of my time, of course I love traveling.

We together are a GREAT TEAM we spent a lot of time working together and solve problems also for our personal organization in this life abroad.
We are famous on CouchSurfing for our way to cook, so if you have us on board, we can assure you really testy meals every time you want.

About Rachele, in October 2022 I went in Thailand for a month with my sister for the first time where I have learned to dive and got the open water licence, I have discovered that I love diving. 1 year later, I got the advanced certificate as well in Utica, Honduras. I have a double side I love the sea, but I cannot imagine my life without montains around. I like to go hiking in the mountains, it makes me feel alive, but also enjoying time at the bar with friends and having fun dancing and listening to music. I am interested in finding a way to be more sustainable and live a slow life and trasmit it to the others. I love van life, for 3 summer holidays I have rented a van and discovered Apulia, Sardinia and Corsica. Other big obsessions: animals (especially my dog, Bubu), nature (my favorite place is a natural park called Devero near my village where I live), northern lights (this is why I came back twice to work in Lapland).

About Erik, my favorite job since now it was working as Adventure Tour Guide and Bus Tour Leader, because I had the opportunity to share with people my knowledge of course, but also my ideals about sustainability and sustainable education.
It was so good to me and I was also good at this kind of job, thanks to my artist and entertainment past, now I have no fear speaking in front of people, telling jokes and maybe sing or improvise some rhymes.
Since I was 18 years old I use to write songs, poems and perform some freestyle rap, I have also been on some "big" stage once or twice and it was really funny, even now, you can drop some chords with the guitar and let's see what happen!

About us, Rachele and Erik met first when they were kids. During our childhood we were in the kindergarten together. Then, first love at 13 years old, we fell in love for a summer. After that, each of us grown, got a life during high school and met just few nights at the disco when we were 18. Almost after 10 years, we met again randomly (you should know we live in a very small place) and surprised we started to date for 2 months. Erik decided to fly with one way ticket to Mexico and Rachele had to finish her master degree. What's next? Rachele after 2 months flew to Cancun and after almost 1 month, we met again in San Cristobal las casas and never been apart again.
