I'm Pia, I am a mixture of an introvert and extrovert person. If I'd ask my friends how they'd describe me, they would say I am a heartwarming person, that loves to listen to storys of life, I am easy to entertain and will be enthusiastic for quite every idea they come up with, and also a very loyal friend, who always has their backs.
I do workaway, because I'm on my first travel tour that I planned all by myself and since the beginning of October 2025 I am on the road. I really would like to settle at a place where I can do some work, that helps a specific person, community or goal to get reached. I am a social worker in Germany, so for me I'd love to do some work with my hands, because I didn't work in a handycraft field before. I've always loved getting involved with handy stuff at home, like painting the walls of my room or coloring old furnisher and pimp it up. But I am open also for gardening or wood work.
Since it's my work at home, I'd also work in a social field.
I like to sing and play the guitar, I'd love to learn more instruments in my life. I enjoy dancing, it can be Lindy Hop to jazz and swing music, it can be free dancing just to get my mood up or dancing in a club when there's a party. And also I enjoy card games very much, or in general games that got something to do with being fast :D so, if you want some postive energy and a person willing to learn how I can be a support at your project, I am very happy to become your volunteer :))

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

So my main work is the social work back in germany. I developed an art project with some fellow students, where we wanted to do some Art work with people that searched for asylum in germany. It was on corona, so it stayed just on the paper, but it was much fun to come up with a concept for our own ideas. Also, I gave some german lessons to those people, because I worked for 6 months in that refugee house as it was my internship for my studies. I would say I have a thing for languages, so I can give some lessons to people that want to learn german. I myself am learning spanish right now, which I only learned at school and haven't been using it for the last past years. But it's much fun to me to keep practicing it and using it while I am travelling.
Also I enjoy painting things very much, as I just told you, that I painted my walls in my room when I lived with my parents, the walls in my shared flats or recoloured some old furnisher. But also I changed the sink in the kitchen of my shared flat where I was living with 2 friends for the last 3 years, or tried to repair my own bike whenever something was wrong with it. Usually I get the help from youtube and just try to come up with an idea how can increase the situation which may be bad. But usually I like to do it, as I said, together with youtube or a person in real life, so I get another opinion what could work well.
Besides that I organised krimi dinner partys with my friends and organized the flat, the game, who play which role and who brings which food. And the last bigger project I was part of, was the building of a moving sauna, where I learned how to sew very thick layers of materials with a sewing machine and thinking about how a sauna can work and which materials are nessecary. Also it was a learning in working with a group of people, where there are many different opinions on things and how we can come together with all the good different ideas.
Also, I have been part of diffrent cooking groups. I already took part in some youth summer camps, where we prepared meals for 80 people, and also I was part of the Black Kitchen, where we did the catering for one of the Backstages on the Fusion Festival. I can't remember how big the portions were, but they were huuuge :D
So in general I would say, if I'm hooked on something, I really enjoy getting into that topic and finding a good way to bring it to life. And i love talking to people about and getting an idea of how others think about my ideas :)

I like juggling, I like inlineskating, I love to learn new dances, I enjoy games that involve remembering something or doing things very fast, I am a feminist, I would love to work more with wood (I built a bench out of wood in March/April this year for my flatmates and me), I love liatening to music and put on music that suits a situation, I was working in a restaurant for 1 1/2 years
