Description
I started to do help exchange 15 years ago when I went to New Zealand and Australia and years later when I came to Canada. I absolutely loved the experiences. So many lovely families and great conversations. This is my first time on Workaway because it wasn’t around when I started and I found it has more hosts than Helpexchange so I decided to give it a try. The reason that I am checking this out again is because I finally convinced my daughter to move to Duncan after our recent trip to Vancouver Island although we didn’t make it to Duncan., I thought it’s great to get to know some locals and the area before we rent or buy something more permanent. She is 8 years old and she’ll be in school during the day. I love gardening (I grow my own food in Hamilton) and preservation, I love cooking from scratch and make my own bread, and I am a very detailed cleaner around the house. I love to learn new skills as well.
