Description

After spending my first year as a post-grad living in the city, it is time for a change! I love travelling, nature, and being part of communities that live life differently. This Autumn/ Winter I want to travel around Europe, so I can experience new ways of living, meet new people and be a part of something bigger. I love being European and want to reconnect with countries I already love as well as discovering places I have never been before. I am really interested in sustainable systems of living, and want to learn how I can better my relationship with this beautiful world we live in. Above all else, I want to challenge myself, help others, and see where the adventure takes me.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

I am enthusiastic, hard-working and up for new challenges. I have experience house-sitting, pet-sitting and child-minding. I have volunteered at my old primary school, working with children aged 4-5 years old. In Bulgaria I worked at a school for children with disabilities and an orphanage. It was a really fulfilling and educational experience as I had the opportunity to connect with children of all different ages who also spoke a different language. As a student I house-sat for weeks at a time, looking after the property and any pets. As a dog owner myself, I am more than happy spending time with animals. Over the past year I have worked in hospitality in London, working as a waitress, bartender, barista and in a kitchen. I am confident cooking, cleaning, and work well with other people.

I really want to expand my physical/ outdoor skills, such as farming and construction. I have always loved the idea of gardening and growing my own fruit and vegetables. I have been vegan for 6 years and am very interested in environmentalism, animal welfare, and sustainable living. As I have made the move to the city in recent years, I am dying to get back into nature! During my time living in Canada last year, I began to learn how to live off the land. I learnt skills such as cutting wood, camping off-grid, and gained a basic know-how of how to survive out in the wild. This experience feels like only the beginning as I aim to become experienced and knowledgable in how to live harmoniously with the natural world.

I achieved a First Class degree studying English at a Russell Group university, and, as well as being a native english teacher, I feel very confident in my ability to teach English. I also studied film and, aside from travelling, filmmaking is my biggest passion. I am most interested in documentaries and experimental filmmaking, for example, I love Agnes Varda and the French New Wave. Since I was 16 I have been making videos of my life and now I want to explore bigger ideas and lives beyond my own. I am a lover of all the arts and would love to spend more of my time being creative.

I am an experienced traveller, last year I lived in Canada, during which I lived in a van for 7 weeks. I first travelled when I was 18; I inter-railled through Europe and fell in love with every country I met. Since, I have volunteered working with children in Bulgaria, solo-travelled through Eastern Europe, and explored North America.
