Description

Hi, I'm Nina! Im 25 years old and I'm originally from California. I love the outdoors, animals, and exploring the world. I am very excited to be in New Zealand for the next several months and I would love to help out on a farm (or several farms) during my time here! I would especially love to work with cows or sheep while I'm here :)

I have experience raising farm animals (pigs and chickens) and working with horses. I also have helped with my family's garden since I was a very young child. I really enjoy working with my hands and I don't mind getting down in the dirt. I currently work at a hostel doing housekeeping in Taupo and I have past experience working for nonprofits doing project management in the US.

Im very outgoing and I'm always down to try something new. I love meeting new people and learning about different cultures. I especially enjoy going to cultural sites and art local museums. I have traveled pretty extensively around the world, and I feel very comfortable being in new environments. I also love to hike, backpack, read, and sometimes paint! I enjoy card and board games and would love to learn any news ones that you like to play. I also love to drink tea and I can often be found reading outside with a cup of tea.

I am looking to work with animals, spend time in nature, and learn about Maori/Kiwi life and culture furring my Workaway exchange. If possible I would like to work with horses again as I miss doing this.

After New Zealand, I plan to travel around Asia for a bit before pursing a Masters degree in the museum field.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

I am a hard worker who has experience raising pigs and chickens, so I know how to get down to business and get my hand dirty! I have also worked with horses and have ridden for several years. I have gardened since I was a child and I love growing my own food. I really enjoying working with my hands and being on my feet. I am a quick learner and I am excited to learn new skills and trades!
