  Description

  We are a family living in the countryside, surrounded by beautiful nature and open skies. Our home is close to biologically valuable meadows, which we care for with love and respect. These meadows are full of wildflowers, birds, and insects, and we do our best to protect their natural balance. I am a ceramic artist, creating pieces inspired by the shapes and colors of nature around us. Each item I make carries a little story of our land and way of life. My husband is a programmer, working with technology while enjoying the peace of rural living. We have three lively boys who fill our days with energy, laughter, and curiosity. They grow up close to the earth, learning about plants, animals, and the changing seasons. Our life here is simple but rich, with a deep connection to nature, creativity, and family—a harmony we wish to pass on to our children.

  We can introduce you to Latvian culture through our food, traditions, and beautiful nature. We would love to show you Latvia’s wild meadows, teach you how to weave flower crowns, collect meadow seeds, and gather plants for tea and herbs. I can share the ancient craft of ceramics—how to make pottery without mechanical tools and how to fire it without electricity, just as it was done centuries ago.
  
  We hope to enjoy good conversations, learn about experiences from other parts of the world, and give our children the chance to practice English and discover other cultures. We want to show them that opening your door to strangers can be a wonderful experience, and that different ways of living can be just as beautiful.

  Aide

  We are on this site for the first time. It is not easy for us to ask others for help, so this feels like something new—an experiment. We might need help with mowing and collecting grass, small farm tasks. There is also the restoration of our natural meadows—searching for and identifying wildflowers, collecting seeds of valuable meadow plants, and other related activities. We would love to share creative time with our children, explore nature together, and exchange ideas. For us, this is not about getting help, but more about meeting kind people, learning from each other, and enjoying meaningful moments in the countryside. We can share our knowlage about Latvian nature, medows, foresta, about old ceramic tehnice, some art projects. We don't need help with any business projects. If you like , you' ll be able to learn something new about nature, ceramic.

  Hébergement

  A Night in the Countryside
  I offer an overnight stay in a hay barn, on freshly cut hay, located on the second floor. You’ll be protected from mosquitoes with a net.
  For those who prefer more comfort, there is also a separate room available in the farmhouse.
  An outdoor toilet and a cold-water shower are available nearby. Near is river.
  We will provide local products, and it would be lovely if we could cook for each other.

  You might have a flexible schedule. We can discuss everything — you’ll do what you enjoy most: mowing grass, spending time with the children, or simply cooking. Any option works perfectly for us.
  
  Nearby, just 3 km away, is the beautiful town of Kandava. The capital city, Riga, is about 100 km away and can be reached easily by public transport.
