In September, after having graduated from High School (Abitur in Germany), we are keen on making acquaintance with some of what the world has to offer and finding new experiences before going to university in 2025. Going to school of course binds one to a specific residence and only permits travel during school holidays. Therefore, we are now faced with new opportunities of traveling freed from the chains of tourism which we want to pursue.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

After eight successful years of high school in Bavaria, we have high general education and “learned to learn“ meaning that we are able to adapt quickly and build competence in new fields.
We have been learning English for ten years and are nearly fluent now. Additionally, I, Max, have been learning French for the past seven years and am able to communicate competently. I, Nikolas, have learned French for five years and am able to somehow communicate. Our native tongue is German and we would be capable of teaching it.
In tenth grade, I, Max, participated in a small social internship in our former elementary school, where I successfully dealt with a problematic student and increased my skills in social work.
For nine years, I have had two pet rabbits whom I took good care of. Me, Nikolas, and my family have had two cats for nine years (now just one, don’t worry, she didn’t die) and a Golden Retriever since 2020, whom I also walk from time to time. We generally have a good relationship with animals and enjoy being around them.
I, Max, have assisted my Dad with simple construction work in and around the house, so one can say that I‘m not struck with two left hands.
I, Nikolas, am well versed in certain fields of cooking and also interested in getting to know new and foreign recipes.
Catching fish I really enjoy as well, self caught meals taste best after all.
A funny skill to add is our experience in spotting and hunting octopi. I, Max, catch them with my bare hands, whereas I, Nikolas (a professional), use a vicious trident.
This was conducted in Greece, where I, Max, travelled without my parents accompanying me. I, Nikolas, also travelled without my parents. This happened when I went to Canterbury, England in order to study there and gain some experience abroad for six months (including holidays where I went home) in 2022. There I learned to socialize in a foreign environment and to be more independent. That means our WorkAway experience won‘t be our first travel and stay in another country without parental supervision.
What could come in handy is the passion for photography that I, Max, have, and my abilities in this field. I have for instance shot the picture of Nikolas that is to be seen on our profile. I, Nikolas, am also somehow invested in that field, though I lean more towards videography. I am also passionate about soccer and when speaking about this topic, Fc Bayern Munich must not be unalluded.

I, Max, like playing the piano as well as going hiking and mountaineering. I, Nikolas, like snorkling and engaging in sportive activities. We both enjoy playing Soccer and Badminton as well as playing fascinating Video games and watching artistic and interesting movies. I, Max, find delight in reading philosophy and sophisticated literature as well as writing literary texts myself. On the other hand, I, Nikolas, am also fond of funny board games, whereas I, Max, engage in them occasionally.
