Hi, my name is Nikita, I am 21 and I grew up in the Netherlands. I have been living in Rotterdam for the past few years, and have just finished my social work degree here! The next year I am travelling and working around Europe. I want to learn from the people around me and I look forward to expanding my community and finding different adventures and side quests in life.
I love to be creative, I paint, write, draw and make music. I also like to read, many different genres, and I enjoy sharing all these hobbies with the people around me. I quite the social butterfly, I enjoy being around others and it gives me energy. I also love being active through activities like running, dancing, bouldering or hiking, and I am excited to discover new music, dances, hiking routes and interesting local traditions.
Although I am a very energetic and enthousiastic person, I also aspire to be grounded and thoughtful. This is something I consider to be very important. I do this by journalling and using mindfulness, specifically through being at present in my body, movement and the food I consume. I also don't use social media, except for WhatsApp to keep in touch with friends and family.
I have my car which I travel with :), I can sleep in it as well, if necessary. This gives me a lot of freedom and oppertunities to explore by myself.
I want to take life as it comes to me, and I am excited to expand my community and look for adventures!

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

Like I mentioned in my description, I finished my social work degree! I am a big supporter of helping others and being present with your peers. I have specifically studied mental health and psychiatric issues. During these years I have worked in several daycares. Specifically in a thriftshop and a creative workspace. Both of these places are also a daycare for people with a distance to the work sphere because of several mental issues. Here I coached and helped the clients with daily goals, but I also worked in the thift shop, carrying furniture and desiging the layout, and I worked in the creative space where I learned the basics of welding, woodwork, repairing bicycles, and using other creative media.
One specific skill I've developed is that I have cut most of my siblings' hair all their life, so I am experienced with doing that, I also cut my own.
I speak dutch and english fluently, and I have practiced some french but I am better at reading/listening than speaking it.
