Description

I am an English language teacher and teacher trainer. I have spent a lot of my life living and working in many different countries in the world. I love learning languages and am passionate about learning different cultures and people. I have my own house in London, which I share with four other from different cultures and a mix of ages. I spend a lot of time renovating and repairing my house. I am thinking of buying a house in the countryside Italy with some international friends. I am now learning Italian, and planning to spend some time in Italy, ideally working as a volunteer to make friends, improve my physical skills, develop Italian language skills and learn more about the area and what is needed. I love walking, reading and talking about everything. I am very flexible and willing to help with any kind of work. I get on well with people of all ages. I don't now have a car, but enjoy cycling.

I am currently learning Italian. I spent a month at University for Foreigners in Perugia in 1975, but had not spoken Italian since then. I do, though, speak Spanish with some fluency .

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

I have a range of general DIY skills, acquired through repairing my own house: recent projects included: installing insulation, putting up fencing and trellis, building shelves, alteration to kitchen cabinets, some electrics, painting and a little plastering.
I have also helped a friend who has a farm in the pennine hills in Yorkshire England. Projects included: Repairing and erecting field fencing, repairing shed doors and windows, clearing out farmyard muck from sheep, clearing rough land etc.

I am currently writing an English language course (for English language teachers whose own level is very low), so I would like access to the internet for research etc.

I am happy to play board games. I play chess (though only once a year) and to join in with any sports or games with anyone. I have organised many parties (in my house and elsewhere!) I do some painting and drawing.
