Dear Workaway community, workawayers and hosts, I am Naomi, 21 years old and into art, plants, Anthropology and learning new skills from new people. I got aquinted with workaway on a boat in Amsterdam. For four months I worked for 6 hours a day, 6 days a week in and around the hotel. I met so many nice people from all around the world, including my boyfriend. The volunteers that i met there explained to me how Workaway helped them explore new countries and helped them understand and expand their own boundaries. In my spare time I am constantly making: Paintings, murals with oil, acrylics and graffiti. I grew up in the city of Rotterdam, but my parents always had a big garden full of vegetables and fruit trees. This perfect mix of urban and nature has tought me that I love city life but also being outside working and relaxing in nature. I think about traveling trough workaway as a way to overcome insecureties and become more independent.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

My foremost skill is thinking and working creatively. I am a third year Cultural Anthropology bachelor student and create murals for my own small business. In both I try to understand phenomena from multiple perspectives and come up with a meaningfull artwork, essay or idea.
Besides that I can talk and write Dutch and English.
I know how to take care of a vegetable garden.
I worked as a waitress, bartender, in hotel cleaning, as hotel receptionist, in food delivery, as a Dutch language and art teacher. In all my jobs I am very eager to learn and I learn quick. I'm good at making a good first impression and fulfilling expectations. I like to listen and I am hospitable.

I love cats but once i met the Big Friendly Giant of a Danish Dog on the Amsterdam Hotelboat I fell in love with dogs too. I love chicken, i have about 20 and they all have a name.
I would love to improve my photography and filming skills, maybe by documenting my travels.
