Hi! I’m Mariana, a 21-year-old Brazilian living in Cork, Ireland. I moved here three years ago and since then, travel has become a huge part of my life. I’ve been lucky to explore some amazing places, and what I love most is connecting with people, learning about their culture, and sharing everyday life.

This summer, I'm planning to be in Spain from the first week of August to first or second week of September, and I’d love to be part of a project that feels meaningful. I’m hoping to slow down a bit, meet new people, contribute in different meaningful projects and help any way I can.

I’ve worked in hospitality (bartender, waitress, receptionist) and currently work as a care assistant in a nursing home. I’m used to helping people, being part of a team, and adapting to different routines. I also love cooking, spending time with animals, and being around children. I’m a creative person—into arts and crafts, drawing, painting—and I’m always happy to help around the house or try something new.

Even though I’m young, I’m reliable, respectful, and take responsibility seriously. If I get the chance to stay in your home, I’ll treat it with care and kindness. I’m really looking forward to living something different and being part of someone’s world for a little while.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

I’ve worked in a variety of roles since moving to Ireland, mostly in hospitality (bartender, waitress, receptionist). I’ve gained strong experience in customer service, teamwork, multitasking, and working under pressure. I’ve also done plenty of cleaning, organizing, and house maintenance tasks—both professionally and at home.

Currently, I work as a care assistant in a nursing home, which has helped me develop a deep sense of responsibility, empathy, and attention to detail. It’s a role I’ve grown to love, especially because it allows me to bring a bit of creativity into people’s daily lives—something I first discovered while volunteering back in Brazil, where I taught arts and crafts in a nursing home.

Creativity is one of my strongest traits. I’m passionate about art—especially drawing and painting, which are my favorite ways to express myself. I also love cooking and enjoy experimenting with food from different cultures. I’m confident in preparing simple, home-style meals and sharing recipes from Brazil.

Another area where I feel very comfortable is working with animals. I grew up around dogs, cats, chickens, horses and birds, and have always had a natural connection with them. I’m confident in basic pet care and would be genuinely happy to help with animal-related tasks.

I’ve always loved children, and one of the greatest joys in my life has been becoming a big sister. A few years ago, I helped my stepmom care for my baby brother during his first year while still living in Brazil, as my dad used to work all day, and I absolutely loved it so much. Now, my family is expecting another baby boy this October, and I can’t wait to meet him. I’m confident in my ability to care for young children and would be happy to have more opportunities to spend time with them and learn from them.


In short, I’m organized, responsible, and eager to learn—whether it’s helping with household routines, sharing creative skills, or supporting meaningful projects.
