Description

I’m Nacho, 27, from a town on the south Atlantic coast of Spain.

I’m a big fan of sports and outdoor activity: surfing, fishing, hiking or a good basketball game. I love cooking (especially Spanish and Mediterranean food) and sharing meals with people. I studied Sport Science back in Spain, and I’d like to become a PE teacher in the future.

I’ve been travelling around New Zealand in my van since December. After spending four amazing months in Taranaki, I’m now looking for my next destination.

I’ve helped out with a few small eco-building, gardening and DIY projects, and I really enjoy the mix of physical work, creativity and community that comes with them. I’m always keen to learn new skills, get my hands dirty and experience different ways of living.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

Eco-building & manual work: basic experience with natural constructions, using materials like wood, clay, and straw. Comfortable with hand tools, sanding, painting, fixing small structures, and general outdoor maintenance.

Gardening: experience growing vegetables, composting, weeding, watering, and maintaining small gardens. Interested in permaculture and off-grid food systems.

Maintenance & hospitality: after a year working in a hostel in Rotterdam, I’m used to general repairs, cleaning, organization, welcoming guests and keeping shared spaces running smoothly.

Education & pastoral care: worked one year at a Swiss boarding school, supporting students through daily routines, sports, and wellbeing. I'm comfortable leading activities, helping with group management, and creating a positive environment.

Sports & coaching: background in Sport Science, experienced in organizing and coaching group activities (basketball, volleyball, swimming, etc.).

Cooking & community life: enjoy preparing healthy, Spanish and Mediterranean style food
