My name is Michèle, I’m 28 years old and originally from Germany. I grew up in a small village surrounded by nature and animals, so being outdoors has always been a big part of who I am. I’ve been riding horses since I was eight and have always loved working with animals.

People would describe me as reliable, hardworking, and open-minded. I don’t mind getting up early and I enjoy being active and learning new things. For the last few years, I’ve been living in Munich, which meant spending less time in nature — something I’ve really missed. That’s also why I decided to take a break and do a work-and-travel year in Canada.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

Workaway gives me the perfect opportunity to reconnect with nature and animals, which has always been a big part of my life. I’ve been around horses since I was a child and have several years of experience with riding and general horse care — including feeding, grooming, mucking out, and basic groundwork.

I would especially love to work with horses again and learn more about horsemanship, training, and daily stable routines. Being around animals and contributing to their well-being makes me genuinely happy.

At the same time, I’m very open to helping wherever I’m needed — whether it’s gardening, general maintenance, or other tasks around the farm. For me, Workaway is also about learning, sharing experiences, and connecting with people who value community, nature, and simple, meaningful living. :)

In my free time, I enjoy simple things like reading, hiking, and stargazing — I could spend hours just watching the night sky (and even have a telescope!)
