Description

Hi, I'm Mitchel (Mitch)
I am currently back home in Botswana (Where I stay) regrouping.

I took a gap year to travel, learn new skills and meet new people. I've spent most of my life travelling with my parents for their work and I'd now like to shape up my own individual experiences and grow as a person.
I've done a lot of courses from Digital Marketing, Web design, poultry farm management and a few others- all of which I'd love to gain more work experience in. I recently spent over a month on a Workaway in Zambia, an experience which gave me an opportunity to exercise my Photography and Videography skills outside of them being just a hobby and I am really looking forward to further taking up similar roles in my next adventure!

I enjoy helping wherever I can, having spent my childhood and most of my teen years volunteering for humanitarian organizations, at farms and digital corporations.

In my spare time, I enjoy reading, painting, cooking, crochet/knitting, photography, DIYs, learning new stuff and Gardening. I have also picked up a love for graphic design and I've worked freelance for a number of projects.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

I am certified in Digital Marketing and E-commerce, Poultry Farm Management, and AI Competency. Over the years, I’ve gained extensive experience as a graphic designer, web designer, and copywriter. My professional journey started early—I began working for my family’s businesses at the age of 8, contributing to organizations such as the New Hope Foundation Global Network (formerly New Hope Foundation Zimbabwe), Defense for Children International, and Farmer's Pride International. I intentionally rotated through various roles to gain as much experience as possible.

My roles have included assisting with graphic design, web design, digital marketing, event planning, and serving as a Personal Assistant to executives. I also worked as a copywriter for the digital news outlet Sun Societies, which not only sharpened my typing and writing skills but also gave me the opportunity to integrate my AI certification into real-world applications while fueling my passion for learning new languages.

Outside of the professional sphere, I’ve mastered practical skills such as pool cleaning, garden-scaping, and home maintenance. Growing up in an all-girls household, our dad made sure we were self-reliant—and I’ve definitely risen to the challenge, as he’d proudly agree!
I absolutely love cooking- and coming up with new dishes.
I love having animals around me, I currently have 5 cats, 4 dogs and 2 chickens at home under my care.
I also enjoy having good company and sharing stories of my adventures over the years and listening to people share theirs. I connect easily due to having to travel a lot and adapt quickly. I'm also good an entertaining people, whether it's games, event hosting, sharing jokes or just normal conversations

I love playing chess even though I'm a beginner and have a keen interest in anything related to mythology. I'm always open to discussing complex and novel topics, enjoying the challenge of examining my beliefs and gaining new perspectives.
