Hi :) my name is Michelle, I am 23 years old and I am from a small town in Austria. I just finished my degree in Social work and now I would like to gain some experience in life through my gap year in Canada. This year is a step out of my comfort zone, but I really enjoy it. I love to meet new people and cultures and see as much as I can.

In my free time I love being in nature (hiking, biking, swimming, stand-up-paddling), being creative or spending some time with my friends. Once a week I took some of the shelter dogs for a walk and I look after some cats of my neighbors, when they are on vacation.

I love traveling- I have been to many countries in Europe (Sweden, Spain, Germany, Italy, England , Croatia etc.) and right now that’s my first time overseas and I can’t wait to see more of Canada.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

My life motto is - you never stop learning! Especially as a social worker for me it is important to help others find their skills, strengths and hobbies. So I try to be a role model and try new hobbies and task and expand my skills. I think you don’t have to be the best in everything, but you should enjoy what you are doing.


I speak fluent German (mother tongue), English and a little of Italian and French.
I love planing little various handcrafted projects and realize them. I love to draw and learn new skills like crocheting, makramee and making dream catchers as well as little things from scratch.

Another passion is cooking. I love trying new recipes especially from different cultures. I think that food brings people together.
