My name is Michele, I’m a 21-year-old guy from the lower part of Verona. I live in San Pietro di Legnago, a typical small town where, more or less, everyone knows each other. I work as a warehouse worker in a car parts company, but mostly I take care of deliveries. Basically, I have a small van that has become like my little moving office, and I transport goods from the main warehouse in Legnago (VR) to the branch in Verona.

I’m using this platform because I want to keep a promise I made to myself before getting this job — to make this job just a temporary way to save some money and fulfill my dream of traveling. ✨

I really want to give my all to this experience, mostly to find some kind of answer — to what question? I don’t really know yet.

If I had to describe myself in a few words, I’m not sure what I’d say. But one of my middle school teachers once told me that I’m a practical person — I don’t care much about the small details, I focus more on what’s important. I’m a hard worker, I love sports, staying active, and being around people, but I also enjoy being alone. I love music and good food (both eating and cooking!). I’m not very talkative, but I love listening.

In the past, I’ve had some experiences outside of Italy — when I was younger with my parents on family holidays, and more recently with friends. Two years ago, I went on my first solo trip to Fuerteventura. I stayed for a month and tried to find a job there, but I didn’t succeed. Still, it was a great experience that helped me grow, become more confident, and meet amazing people like Luca and his girlfriend Noelle, a fun couple from Cesena who have been traveling for years. They introduced me to this platform.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

My main skill is probably cooking. I’m not a professional chef, but I’m pretty good at making pasta dishes – pasta and sauces are my specialty.
In general, I’m a very adaptable guy and I learn things quickly.
Since I was a child, I’ve always helped with the housework and worked in the garden with my dad – mowing the lawn, preparing the soil for the vegetable garden, and even cutting wood with a chainsaw or log splitter.
I also worked for one year as a bartender/waiter, so I know how to serve at tables and prepare both hot and cold drinks.
I have experience working with children too – I helped out at summer camps and church activities for kids.
Most recently, I worked in a warehouse, transporting goods. I loaded and unloaded vans, but mainly I was in charge of driving.
Basically, if someone needs a hand, I’m ready to help!
