In my gap year I want to broaden my horizons. Getting to know new cultures and people with their traditions and experiences brings me joy! I’m a very social person and love learning new things - whether it is tasks in a job or about different ways of life in other countries. Therefore I am not afraid of challenging work as it is going to make me grow most.

Traveling, for me, isn’t just about seeing new places – it’s about being part of them. I’m motivated by the idea of exchange: offering my time, skills, and positive attitude, and in return gaining a deeper understanding of life in another part of the world. Especially people who are passionate about what they’re doing inspire me and make me appreciate my work even more.

I also love the connection that comes with working and traveling as a team and creating memories together! All in all, I am an open-minded person eager to gain life experience, embrace new challenges and meet kind and interesting people along the way.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

Over the past few years, I've gained experience in a variety of areas - both practical and social. I enjoy learning by doing and always bring a positive attitude and willingness to help wherever needed.

Childcare & Tutoring
I’ve been babysitting children between the ages of one and twelve for the past seven years. I also tutored kids aged ten to sixteen in English, maths and other subjects. Spending time with children has always brought me joy, and through these experiences I’ve developed a lot of patience, responsibility and the ability to explain things clearly.

Languages & Communication
Languages are a big passion of mine. I graduated with the German Abitur with very good grades, especially in languages. I speak German fluently, have reached level C1 in English, level B1 in Spanish and also completed the Latinum (Latin proficiency certificate). I love learning about different cultures and enjoy connecting with people through language.

Hospitality & Teamwork
I worked in a café for two years as a waitress, where I served customers, prepared food and helped with cleaning. I really enjoyed working in a team and creating a friendly atmosphere. I also did an internship at an archaeological firm in 2022, where I helped plan and carry out excavation work – a very physical job that taught me a lot about teamwork and staying focused even during long hours.

Practical & Creative Work
At home, I regularly mow the lawn, water the plants, and help prepare the house for family events – including decorations and organization. Right now I’m working part-time in a fashion, interior and lifestyle store. My tasks include painting walls, packing online orders, working in retail, helping with social media content, and sometimes even being part of photo or video content for the store.

Attitude & Motivation
All in all, I’d describe myself as a fast learner who enjoys trying new things. I bring a strong work ethic, a positive attitude, and a lot of team spirit. I’m curious, open-minded and happy to help wherever I can.
