Hi everybody :)
my name is Melanie, I'm 24 years old and live in Germany. I'm a very open minded person and my biggest passion is travelling. Getting to know lots of new countries, people and cultures is one of my main goals in life. I love being outside in nature, discover new places and experience new ways of living. Other than that I enjoy reading, working with animals and helping people in every way possible. I volunteer at a local childrens Hospital and help out at a Food Bank. I'm currently studying social work at a university in southern Germany. I'm also really interested in art and alternative ways of living. In my free time I love to go to poetry slams, art exhibtions, swim, hike or read a good book. I'm very social and easy to get along with.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

After graduating from high school in Germany, I spent a year in the United States living with a host family. This experience made me fluent in English and helped me quickly adapt to new environments, cultures, and circumstances.
Furthermore I completed a three-year vocational training program as an European Management Assistant at a large automotive company in Germany, where I developed strong organizational- and planning skills and learned how to communicate effectively with all sorts of people.
In addition to that, I've been working as a waitress at VIP events for two years now, gaining valuable customer service experience and strengthening my ability to stay professional, attentive, and calm in fast-paced settings.
Most recently, I completed a five-month internship in social work with an organization supporting traumatized female refugees and their children. This role required empathy, responsibility, flexibility and allowed me to assist families in various aspects of their daily lives.
I have also worked on animal farms before, where my main tasks included caring for cats, dogs, horses, and chickens, which further strengthened my sense of responsibility and hands-on work ethic.
During a 2 month workaway experience at a surf guest house in Portugal where I was mainly in charge of keeping the house and bathrooms clean, helping with preparing breakfeast for the guests and prepping the rooms for new guests I was able to gain deeper insights into the field of hospitality and the importance of attention to detail, reliability, and creating a welcoming atmosphere for guests.
Overall, I am highly adaptable, eager to learn, and quick to acquire new skills. I enjoy taking on new challenges and continuously developing both personally and professionally.
