Description
Hello, I’m César.
Since 1999 I’ve been working as a forest ranger in the mountains of Spain🌲❄️⛰️. My days follow the rhythm of the seasons, and the forest has taught me patience, calm, constancy and respect… but also how to enjoy the small things: the dew on a spider web or the smell of the earth after the rain.
With these same values we’ve built our family life , which is the most important for me. With our son we’ve shared the joy of simple things: walking and playing with our dogs 🐾🐾🐾, picking fruits from the garden or the forest, fishing, cooking and sitting together at the table. Cooking has a special place in our lives: it’s a way to care for each other , to keep family traditions alive , and to make the most of what we’ve got with gratitude.
Now that our son has grown and is starting his own way , I also want to keep discovering the world with curious eyes . Through Workaway I’m looking for a place where I can learn , contribute and connect in a genuine way with people and places.
I’m not interested in rushing or screens; I don’t use social media and I’m still alive 😏. I’m not looking for a perfectly filtered photo or an anonymous like: I prefer real life, those moments that appear when we work together, share a meal , or learn from each other without Wi-Fi.
I’m an agricultural engineer, but most of what I know doesn’t come from diplomas, but from practice and from working side by side with people who teach with their hands. I’ve also collaborated with NGOs in environmental and community projects in different countries. From each place I brought home more than knowledge: I learned humility, adaptability, and the value of learning together.
I like working with my hands: creating 🪚, repairing 🔧, building 🧱. I’m not afraid of getting dirty and I enjoy finding solutions with what’s available. I can work independently and take initiative, but I also find joy in teamwork, because when hands join, people connect too.
Thanks for reading me.🤗
