Helloooo! My name is Maya, 19 years old and I am really excited to start this workaway adventure.

I am an enthousiastic, nature loving, hearted, adventurous and warm person.

Things that make me intensely happy are being in the mountains, singing songs with others, being close to the sea (and in the sea of course), reading books, being sportive and creating art in all different kinda forms.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

- Experience volunteering at an ecovillage in France where I worked. I spent a lot of time in the vegetable garden, doing the housekeeping, cooking meals for the community, and caring for the goats on the farm.
- I attended a Waldorf school my whole life, where, in addition to general knowledge, I also learned manual skills, such as sewing, gardening, woodworking, drawing, painting, singing, dancing, metalworking, acting and I learned to admire the plants and animals.
- I've had many different jobs where I gained a lot of experience. I've worked in catering, as a hostess, a babysitter, a housekeeper, and currently I work as a tutor helping children with their schoolwork. I can work hard and thoroughly and enjoy it at the same time (most of the time).
- As a summer job, I work as an outdoor sports instructor on the beach of a Dutch island. I learned to speak in front of large groups and teach both children and adults.
- I supervise children's camps where I learned a lot about pedagogy and children.
- At the children's camps, I work in the kitchen, so I also have a lot of experience cooking for large groups.
