Hello!
My name is Matilde, I'm Italian, 22 years old and I recently graduated from the University of Amsterdam, where I studied Cultural Anthropology.
I am a friendly, outgoing and open-minded person who is not afraid of hard work and trying new things, I am at my happiest when surrounded by nature, animals or kids.
One of my main passion is reading, since i was a little kid I've always had a book in my hands and I cant't express how much I love to be transported in a completely different universe through the pages of a book.

For the past four years I have been coming back every chance I had to an animal sanctuary in Portugal where I did my second Workaway and where I had the opportunity to learn how to take care of animals and to live in a loving and caring community. After coming back many times and graduating from University, I am now ready to start travelling more and explore the world.
Travelling is my biggest desire and I hope to visit as many places as possible, expanding my horizons and exchanging cultures while meeting new people. I have been travelling through some European countries and I am now very excited to start my next adventures in new corners of the world!

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

I grew up in a little olive oil farm in the Italian countryside, living in nature and taking care of animals, feeding and brushing them, cleaning stables and helping whenever someone was sick.
I then lived for over six months in an Animal Sanctuary in Portugal, where I learned to take care of many different kind of animals by assisting them with all their needs.
I have also had the opportunity to babysit since I was a teenager and I have always loved to spend time with tiny humans and share their discovery of the world.
I very much enjoy cooking and sharing meals with other people, I know lots of delicious recipes which I'm really looking forward to share. I became vegan when I was 17 years old and since then I have able to expand and explore the culinary world in very different ways and learn the infinite ways to combine different foods.

One of my biggest dream is to travel all around the world: I hope to see as much as possible of what this incredible planet has to offer and I think workaway is one of the best way to achieve that. I'm excited to meet new people, share cultures and learn new languages all while helping by volunteering and contributing to beautiful meaningful projects.
