Description

My name is Afonso Marto, and throughout my life I’ve felt that my home country was my foundation, but not my destiny. I’ve always been very curious about people from different places.
Right now, I’m at a stage in my life where I’m trying to step out of my bubble and truly explore new places, cultures, and people.
I’m deeply passionate about three things: teaching, sports, and nature.
Lately, I’ve been finding ways to bring them together — working as a canyoning guide in the summer and training to become a snowboard instructor in the winter.
I’m also on a quest for a better quality of life, since being a young person in Portugal can be quite challenging.
There’s a lot more I could share about myself, but I’ll stop here for now!

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

I have a lot of experience working with children and teenagers between the ages of 5 and 18 as a teacher, which has taught me patience, creativity, and how to connect with kids in meaningful ways. Over the years, I have also managed groups in different contexts and coordinated teams in summer camps, which helped me develop strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.

One of my biggest strengths is adaptability — I find it very easy to adjust to new environments and situations. I also learn new things quickly, which allows me to step into new roles with confidence and curiosity.

I am fluent in English, Portuguese, and Spanish, which helps me connect with people from different cultures. I enjoy cooking simple but tasty meals, and I also have some knowledge of graphic design, which I like to use in creative projects.

Sports are a big passion in my life. I have broad knowledge about many kinds of sports, but I feel especially connected to action and extreme sports on wheels, snow, and water. Being outdoors and active is a huge part of who I am.

Overall, I love working with people, sharing experiences, and learning from every situation. I believe these skills and passions make me flexible, reliable, and eager to contribute wherever I go.
