Hi there!
I'm Marta, a spanish girl of 28 years old.
I studied Anthropology and have worked as a psychotherapist, so I really like to experiment new cultures and learning new ways of life that are in contact with nature. I really enjoy doing things in the nature, with animals, children and people that also like sharing this method of living. I want to learn about rural life in the places I visit.

I live in the countryside so I have some knowledge of gardening, take care of animals and I also like doing sports like ski, rock climbing, hiking, dance, biking, and martial arts.

I have worked as a instructor with children in summer camps and teaching them english and school support, so I have experience taking care and playing with them.

One of the cultures I am interested more is Japan. I am studying japanese and I would really love to practice it. Want to know all about japanese life, its food, its people, its lifestyle, its history...

I have traveled around the world like South America, Africa, Europe and Asia. It will be a pleasure to talk about travels, world, cultures,religion, ecology, and anything you want to share with me :)

WHY AM I DOING THIS?
The July of 2024 I went to Cambodia for one month. When I came back to Spain nothing was the same for me. This trip affected so much on me that I couldn't live more in the way I have lived. I am not satisfied with the world we are creating, and working as a psychotherapist I have noticed that humankind aren't following the right direction. I am looking for another type of life, more in coherence with my feelings, with nature, with life, and with the type of world I would like to see in the future. That's the reason I am doing workaway and want to learn from people that have had the courage to try another way of life. Everything I can learn from you will be a gift for me.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

CHILDREN:
I have experience with children. I have worked as an instructor with groups of child in summer camps (hiking, playing, camping) and also teaching english.

ANIMALS:
I love animals and taking care of them. I have always had animals, like big dogs, cats, rabbits and have a bit experience supervising rabbits and chickens, but would like to learn more about taking care of goats, sheep, cows, horses...

GARDERING/FARM
I also like gardering and grow vegetables. I have my own vegetable garden but it's so small and would like to learn more about it... about rice or grain fields.
I know a little about herbs and aromatic plants, and also have knowledge about natural medicine. I have some skin problems sometimes so I have had to learn about another alternative methods that don't are aggressive with my skin and health.

SPORTS AND MARTIAL ARTS
I like sports on nature and I do ski, rock climbing and hiking in nature. I also love dancing.
I have done martial arts like shotokan karate, aikido and Katori shinto Ryu (just a bit).

COOKING AND PLAYING
I have fun playing board games, speaking about cultures, religion and the world with different people.
I love learning about cooking, food and how to make homemade dishes. Love to cook and taste new flavours :). Eating and cooking traditional dishes is one of the things I like the most of traveling. Go to local restaurants makes me feel so happy.

CULTURE
I also like so much reading about a lot of topics, like anthropology, psichology, history, religions...And fantasy and historic novels. I also enjoy so much watching anime and reading manga.
