Heeey! My name is Marieke, I come from a small city in Nothern Germany, at the baltic sea.

6 years ago I moved to Berlin to study media management and afterwards started to work at a film production company, mostly in the area of documentaries. Recently I also became a yoga teacher.
I always felt that I need the balance between crowded, exciting places and the calmness of nature. So as often as I have the chance I will try to get out of the city, immerse myself in nature and travel to new places. Workaway is a chance for me to not only travel to a new place but also to find myself in an environment I probably wouldn‘t get into otherwise, get to know people which I normally wouldn‘t have met. I hope to make deep connection and that the exchange is from value for both sides :)

I‘m happy to teach german (my mother language) or even english (which I‘m fluent in). I‘m interested in learning Spanish and French, which I both had in school but which are slowly vanishing since I‘m not practising.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

I studied media and work in the film industry, so I have all kinds of skills around that.
Also I've been practicing yoga for 10+ years and end of '23 I finally took the time to become a yoga teacher, which has been a plan of mine for a long time. The following months I would love to focus on practice teaching, study yoga philosophy further and just generally have some more time for introspection. I would be super happy to give yoga & meditation classes.
I really enjoy to do pottery/ceramics and cook delicious, healthy food for me & the people around me!

I can help around the house & in the garden. I love animals and humans and sharing stories.
Generally I am really adaptable and know how to make the best out of every situation.
