-Earth Sciences: environmental Management student- Looking for a place to learn and experience during the 4 weeks of January-

I'm always striving to learn about the culture, nature and people of the places I visit. This is why I love volunteering / workaway, it allows me to connect to places and people on a different level and to contribute to the local environment. I'll be having a gap in my studies in january and I would love to fill this up with a meaningful trip.

A little about me :)
I feel happiest when I'm close to nature, learning new things, and love being creative.
As a biology student, I'm curious about the ecosystems and species of the places I visit and I find a lot of value in conservation work. I love being outdoors, working with my hands, overall just keeping busy and in my off time I love reading books.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

During my travels in Middle- and South-America I've gained experience in permaculture, construction, wildlife conservation, plant conservation. All topics interest me deeply and I love learning about them.

Through my biology studies I’ve also spent time doing fieldwork, which means I’m comfortable working outdoors and in practical settings. I’m not afraid of physical work or getting my hands dirty, I actually enjoy being active and involved rather than sitting still. I have experience in data collection, scientific data handling, camera-trapping, soil sampling, vegetation assessment.

I’ve worked quite a lot in hospitality, so I’m used to being around guests, helping out where needed and keeping things running smoothly behind the scenes. I genuinely enjoy creating a welcoming atmosphere and working as part of a team.

Overall, I’d say I’m adaptable, easy to work with, and happy to step in wherever I’m needed.

Autres infos...

In my free time I like keeping things simple. I read a lot, especially when I’m somewhere quiet or close to nature. I also love listening to music, my taste goes from Radiohead to Habibi Funk and a lot in between.

I enjoy being active, going for long walks or runs, and just being outside. Since I’ll be near the ocean, I’d really love to learn how to surf at some point. Mostly I just enjoy meeting new people, sharing stories, and experiencing and connecting to new places
