Description
Hey, I'm Marc.
I'm a Dog trainer, and have worked in animal rescue sanctuaries around the world. Currently manage a dog daycare and boarding facility. Also studying to become a Veterinary Care Assistant. When I have spare time I help out at a local rescue with ponies, sheep, pigs, goats, geese and cockerals. Feeding and grooming, and doing some building work. My past 2 workaway positions were working at dog shelters. One in Greece, and one in Thailand. The Thailand shelter had 500+ dogs, and 30+ cats, Many of the dogs were disabled. So I am used to large packs of dogs around me. With both roles I was offered a permanent position to help run the shelters, but had to turn this down. As the lead volunteer I managed all daily jobs including feeding, cleaning, designating and medicating. I like meeting new people and working together for a cause. I come up with many fun/silly games for the group to play in our downtime.
I have a love for working with all animals, but have an affinity towards dogs. I am organised, pro active, and confident in my ability.
I try to live a simple minimalist life with basic needs.
Also recently came back from (attempting to) walk across Europe for charity, where I lived in a tent and cooked on a little burner, so have lived with basic amenities.
Over the last few years my life has become about kindness and looking after nature and this beautiful planet.
I love seeing amazing new places and experiencing new things, and sharing experiences with people.
I am an adventurous person who pushes themselves out of their comfort zone and tries to keep learning. Most years I try to complete 12 new challengers of things i've never done before, such as -
Snowboarding, surfing, swimming with sharks, scuba diving, abseiling, walking on hot coals, walking on glass, making unique items to sell.
My interests are:
Animal rescue, growth, mindfulness, writing, travel, sport, movies, comedy, people, new experiences, tattoos, creativity, different culture and music.
I have been travelling for the past 5 years on and off, but are now studying, so have limited availability to make a difference to causes.

Feedback
One of my favourite experiences in life.
After a few days here I wasn't sure whether I would stay. It definitely takes time, So you need to stay for a week before you make your mind up. After this period you've learnt the dogs names (close to 100), and have learnt the routine and know what you are doing. (Check out my… read more
