The morning sun motivates me to rise and make the most of each new day, offering kindness and a smile to each person I encounter. Life is short and precious and I feel each day gives me an opportunity to appreciate all the good things and sometimes the bad! I am a people person. I enjoy being with people and learning about their life and experiences. Because I am older I have many life experiences to share. I really enjoy cooking and wine.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

I am an older gentleman and I have many wonderful life experiences. I have 3 children who now have their own children. I no longer have a wife. I have many years of business experience having been in the home building business for many years. I also have experience in operations of a business office. Presently I work part-time helping families during the time of losing a loved one to death. I have travelled to Italy several times and my great grandparents came to the United States from Calbria. Amo Italia!! I have been learning the Italian language for some years and would like the opportunity to broaden my learning experience. I enjoy cooking a great deal and especially Itallian cuisine. I like to drink Italian wine from Sangiovese grapes. I would very much enjoy learning about growing grapes and harvesting them. I am interested in growing olives as well. I enjoy the outdoors.

How do I begin to explain the wonderful experience I enjoyed with this beautiful family?!! From the moment I saw Daniela and Ethan standing on the sidewalk in front of the train station I knew I had made the proper decision to stay with this family!
Instantly I felt kindness and generosity and this feeling only grew after I was warmly welcomed … read more into their lovely home with Nonna and MIke greeting me at the door. Nonna is the mother of Daniela and she is an amazing cook. Each day, with the freshest ingredients, she prepared delicious foods for lunch and for dinner. We always ate dinner outside on the terrace and it was delightful. Always there was good wine and bread, my favorites! She always offered to prepare some breakfast for me but I'm not too much of a big breakfast eater so I would eat fruit and yogurt. I mentioned Mike, he is a beautiful Golden Retriever who just has the best personality. We quickly grew fond of each other beginning with the first walk we had on the morning after my arrival. Each morning he would greet me at the foot of the stairs anxiously awaiting our brisk walk. (I miss Mike!) My comfortable room was on the very top floor of a large 4 story house and with its private bathroom was the perfect place to wind down after a busy day with 2 growing and lively boys and a big dog. The bed was very comfortable and I didn't have any trouble sleeping. I mentioned 2 lively boys, yes they are typical boys of 4 years and 9 years. It was great fun speaking with them in English and reading stories and doing activities. They are active boys and full of energy. Several days Ethan, who is 9, walked with Mike and me to the park and Ethan played on the swings while I walked Mike around the park. We had fun talking and spending time together. This family is so nice. They included me on a trip to the beach one day which was so nice, and to a large park another day. Daniela allowed me join her and Nonna at the end of the school year programs for each of the boys and they were such fun to watch. They truly welcomed me into their home with love and kindness. Francesco was always there checking to see if I needed anything. One day I rode with him to the building supply store to purchase some things and he gave me a tour of the village. One evening I joined him and 2 of his friends for something to drink at a local nightspot. It was great! I just can't say enough nice things about this family and one day I hope to return to spend more time with them! Francesco, Daniela and Nonna and Ethan and Liam, thank you for allowing me to opportunity to get to know you and experience true Italian family life.
