Hi! My name is Ann, I’m a Russian but now I live in Kazakhstan.

I studied Sociology and later completed a Master’s degree in Psychological and Pedagogical Education. Over time I realized that I’m most interested in education, communication, languages, and community-based projects.

A few years ago I volunteered in Nepal as a math teacher, teaching children in English. It was one of the experiences that influenced me the most and made me understand how much I enjoy working with kids and being part of a different culture and everyday life.

In my regular life I work as a math tutor, and during the winter season I also work as a mountain instructor. I also run my own social projects connected to orphan support in Russia, including financial literacy education for teenagers from orphanages and a series of interviews with orphanage graduates about their lives and experiences.

I’m especially interested in educational and social projects, language exchange, and community life. I enjoy helping with classes, organizing activities, supporting people, and just being involved in a shared environment.

In everyday life I like music, running, learning languages, reading, and traveling slowly. I’m not looking for a party-style volunteering experience — for me it’s much more about people, learning, and meaningful exchange.

I’m a calm and responsible person, easy to communicate with, adaptable, and genuinely curious about other ways of living.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

I get along well with children and usually connect with them quite naturally. I enjoy helping with learning, creative activities, games, or just spending time together and making them feel comfortable.

I have experience both in commercial and charity projects, so I’m comfortable with organizing information, working with tables, presentations, calculations, and administrative tasks if needed. I also enjoy coordinating things and creating a supportive atmosphere in a team.

I’m not a huge fan of cooking, but sometimes I actually enjoy it — especially when it’s for other people or in a shared community environment.

And one of my secret skills is creating comfort and coziness in a space :)
