I am interested in travelling to places where few tourist venture. Preferably none. I travel to meet the locals, and live like the locals.

Description

Over several years, I have hosted over 100 WorkAwayers myself. Now it's my turn to be hosted - rather than being the host. And I've learned what it takes to be a good WorkAwayer!

I can't do many hours of hard labor (heavy lifting), but I do have a large amount of other skills that most WorkAway hosts will find valuable. Please see my list of skills.

I am friendly and cheerful and mix easily with everyone, from all countries.

I live on a small, remote island located between Vancouver Island and the mainland of Canada, on the west coast of North America. The name of my island is Lasqueti Island . Lasqueti Island does not have electricity, water pipes, nor a car ferry - it's an off-grid island. I am very happy to stay in very rustic conditions. This is how I live in Canada.
