Heyy !

So... My name is Maël and I'm a 24 YO French backpacker. Right now, I live in Lyon but I come from a small French city close to the Swiss Frontier.
I work as a door to door canvassor in Switzerland for associations like :
-Medecin sans frontières
-Pro Natura
-Swiss red cross
-WWF
-UNICEF

I'm also part of an association that organises an electronic music festival each year in Ardèche (France).

I used to travel a lot before. I went to :
France, Switzerland, Italy, Vatican City, Mauritius, Spain, USA, Portugal, Ireland, Belgium, Netherlands, Germany, Austria, Croatia, Montenegro, Albania, Macedonia, Kosovo, Serbia, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Hungary, Slovenia, Brazil, Morocco, Costa Rica, Panama, Mexico, Guatemala.

I love sports and things that could be done outside. I lived in the French Alps during 20 years so hiking in the summer and skiing in the winter are things I love to do.
I'm passionate by electronic music. I'm trying to learn how to DJ :)

I love to try new experiences and meet new people from different horizons than mine. I think of me as someone sociable, open-minded, funny and I'm pretty easy to live with. I just love to seek discomfort to be able to grow up and become a better person. I would like to try new things and acquire some new skills that could help me in the future !

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

I am really sociable so I can work with new people. Every Saturday (when I was in France), I worked in a big DIY company (Leroy Merlin) : I was preparing and also delivering the command for customers. I worked in the restaurant of my parents sometimes too as a waiter and I did the washing up. We have a house with a big garden so I use to help my dad (mooing the lawn, water the flowers, etc...). I also volunteered in some French music festivals during summer. I lived alone in an apartment in Grenoble so I am independent. When I was playing soccer, I was a goalkeeper coach and I loved it.

Workaways I've done :

(Sept 15th - Oct 10th 2019) Festanation (camp site) in Munich (Germany) : I was cleaning the tents and the area, making sure everything was in order, cooking, organizing events for the guests and taking them to the Oktoberfest.

(Nov 8th - Dec 7th 2019) Park Istra in Kastelec (Slovenia) : Charity project which was really fulfilling. I helped people with disabilities, teach some English to little kids, pick some persimmon for the people in need (Red Cross), work with an animal shelter, cook and clean for the people in the house, help with the construction in the house, cut trees and clean the garden for elders and more.

I'm motivated and open to all requests !
