Howdy!!
So I guess I better introduce myself…..

Here is a little bit about me!

My name is Mali and I’m a 27 year old gal from a little beach town in Far North Queensland, Australia. After moving out of home at 17 to go and live the big city life. I quickly found that the 9-5 lifestyle wasn’t for me. Although I LOVE my work as a florist I had an itch I needed to scratch, so I packed my bags and headed to the snowfields. After doing one snow season in Australia I headed straight to Whistler, Canada on a working holiday visa and quickly got stuck there. Although I had no desire to leave Canada. Being stuck in a foreign country during a global pandemic has taught me just how kinda and compassionate complete strangers can be.

Once the world slowly opened up again and my Canadian work visa had expired I headed to Mexico for a short week in the sun (which quickly turned into 2 months). As this was my first time solo backpacking in a non English speaking country I had my reservations at first, but they were quickly washed away by the eye opening cultural experiences and beautiful people I met.

Heading home now, dead broke. I was sad to leave my adventurous lifestyle behind, but equally as elated to reunite with my family after 3years abroad.

After settling back home and regaining my bearings. I decided just because I was back in Australia, it didn’t mean my adventures had to stop…..so I moved to Melbourne!! I worked at one of Australia’s leading florists and met people there that I could also call family. I learnt numerous valuable skills that I’ll carry with me for life (both inside and outside of work). As my one year anniversary in Melbourne came about I had a big career decision to make. After working gruelling hours and sacrificing weekends to climb the ladder. It dawned on me that I wasn’t done travelling the world.

Soooo.... I made the leap and flew to Portugal! I spent a few months traveling through Portugal and Spain to then return to Lisbon and volunteer in a hostel. This was an incredible experience and something I look forward to doing again! I was now needing to leave the Schengen zone and found myself wondering what Morocco may have to offer. Oh baby! It did not disappoint. I made two lifelong friends my first day and as we travelled trough Morocco together I fell more and more in love with the country. Anyway long story short I need to go back!

Over the past 2 years I have be periodically living and working in the UK (on a working holiday visa) so I can travel Europe with income and ease! As my UK visa is expiring I am heading off again! This time starting my travels in Eastern Europe I hope to make my way back to Spain and then Morocco.


I’m currently seeking a Workaway’s in Spain for the month of November and from December - March in .Imsouane, Morocco.

I’m always open to new experiences and to learning new skills. My current goal is to learn more Spanish and eat good food! While I’m living in the UK I'v had some very entry level Spanish lessons but would love to fully immerse myself in the culture. My current skill list includes bartending, gardening, social media content creation, meals prep, event hosting, house keeping, DIY and most importantly a go getting attitude.
