Description

Hello! I am Maggie, a Geography and Environmental Science student based in Scotland. I love exploring new places, learning from different cultures, and contributing to projects that care for both people and the environment. I am always happy to get stuck into a variety of tasks—whether that’s outdoor work, DIY, gardening, or helping with daily life. I already have a couple experiences on workaway this year which have been fantastic and I can't wait for more opportunity to work both in Scotland and abroad.

I'm a friendly, reliable, and hardworking person who enjoys meeting new people and getting stuck into practical work. Through my roles in hospitality, customer service, and care, I've developed strong communication skills, adaptability, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

I have experience with food preparation, barista work, housekeeping and cleaning, customer service, tour guiding, cash handling, and working in fast-paced environments. My care work taught me patience, responsibility, empathy, and excellent time management, while also building my confidence in handling challenging situations calmly.

I love being outdoors and have a keen interest in conservation, wildlife, hill walking, and photography.

I'm a quick learner with a positive attitude, enjoy trying new things, and am always willing to lend a hand wherever it's needed. I take pride in doing every task to the best of my ability and helping create a welcoming environment.

Outside of my studies and work experience, I have a wide range of interests. I am a passionate traveler and have been fortunate to visit many places around the world, which has made her open-minded, adaptable, and curious about different cultures and ways of life. I also love photography and enjoys capturing special moments, whether that’s landscapes, wildlife, or everyday life. I enjoy relaxing in the evenings with board games, good conversation, or sharing stories.
