Hi!

I’m Maarten from Leipzig, Germany. :) I just finished my Bachelor’s degree in Economics and am now traveling through Central and South America for about six months. I’m planning to visit Nicaragua, Guatemala, Colombia, and Argentina—and I’d love to stay with hosts where I can meet people, help out, learn new things, and improve my Spanish.

A bit about me: I’m a calm and open person who loves being outside, especially in the mountains. Hiking makes me really happy, but I also enjoy cycling and pretty much anything active. I like reading, listening to music, and cooking, and I always enjoy spending time with new people.

I speak fluent English and my Spanish is at intermediate level—I’m excited to keep practicing.
People usually describe me as reliable, team-oriented, and someone who takes responsibility seriously. I’m happy to help with all kinds of tasks, whether it’s with guests, around the house, or outdoors.

I’m really looking forward to meeting new people, learning along the way, and hopefully being part of some great Workaway experiences. :)

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

Through several internships in the Economics field, I’ve gained experience with administrative work and staying organized.
I also worked at a bar in a concert venue, which taught me to stay friendly and calm in busy situations and to work well in a team.

I learn quickly, enjoy trying new things, and am happy to help with a wide range of tasks—whether it’s with guests, outdoors, or general daily work.
