I'm Marie, I'm 21 years old and I'm from Germany.

This summer I will fulfill my lifelong dream and fly to Australia for a year! I'm landing in Melbourne on September 1st and actually can't believe that I'll be at the sea by then!

It would be awesome to get to know friendly, cheerful and warm-hearted people and to immerse themselves in the Australian way of life. Last year I was in England for 6 weeks via WorkAway and Couchsurfing and felt like I was learning more with a backpack on my back than any teacher could have taught me in school. Many encounters were unique back then and are more precious than any anatomy book I had to learn!!

However, in real life I am an occupational therapist and worked for one year at a school for disabled children and young people.

But since I can't live without travelling, I've been out every holiday season! So I speak good English, am very social, love children and am open to any job. I've even worked in gastronomy, delivered medication, had a cleaning job and worked in sales. I have an working holiday visa, subclass 417 and also an international driver's license. I am a lifeguard and am trained as a paramedic (this is a kind of additional qualification in Germany). In my free time I like to travel, love to dance, swim, sing and listen to interesting life stories.

But basically, I'm just Marie, fun-loving, happy to finally fly to Australia (because I've been dreaming of that since I was 16), in this wonderful country, the cool Australians, the sea and just doing what I really do want.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

I am an occupational therapist and I worked for a year at a school for disabled children and young people. There I worked in the 5th grade (children 12 - 13 years). In addition to the therapeutic work, I taught them history, religion and music. If the term kinaesthetics means anything to you, I had further training in this therm. For over 4 years I have worked in the gastronomie, delivered medication and am a volunteer lifeguard and paramedic.
